HiPL

The king of skin rejuvenation technology is here. Introducing HiPL (High + IPL), the world’s first and unrivalled microsecond multi-pulse device. Armed with the latest millisecond technology, HiPL surpasses conventional IPL and Nd:YAG technology in treating skin conditions such as pigmentation, acne and broken capillaries.

Highly popular in Korea, HiPL has been clinically tested to deliver effective results in a safer and shorter period of time.

How does HiPL work?

HiPL is not a type of laser treatment. Instead, it builds on conventional IPL technology to offer a wider range of options to those who may not be the right candidate for an IPL skin treatment. This also makes it different from the Nd:YAG laser, which is used to treat various types of skin discolouration.

HiPL comes with a 3-in-1 system and consists of 4 wavelengths (510nm, 560nm, 640nm, 700nm) and Single, Double, Triple and Multi-Pulse Mode. Each pulse duration can be adjusted to address different skin problems and suit the patient’s needs more accurately.

Unlike IPL and Nd:YAG laser, HiPL allows for more control over heat distribution. This leads to a lower risk of unwanted side effects.

What results can I expect from HiPL?

After HiPL treatment, you can expect to see a remarkable improvement in the texture and colour of your skin. Pigmentation and acne will be less noticeable after a few sessions and your skin will look brighter overall. This is due to the reduction of the appearance of blood vessels on treated areas of the face.

How many treatments of HiPL do?

The number of treatments for HiPL will depend on the individual needs of each patient. It is key to discuss a treatment plan with your dermatologist to decide on the number of sessions required based on your age, skin type, lifestyle and severity of your skin condition. However, it is recommended that patients undergo at least 3-5 sessions of HiPL to achieve the best results.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is HiPL painful?

Unlike conventional methods such as IPL or Nd:YAG laser, HiPL is not painful. In some cases, there may be a slight feeling of tingling during the treatment that will be cooled down by the machine.

Is HiPL safe?

HiPL is generally considered to be safe even for more sensitive skin types. It is a non-invasive treatment method for total skin rejuvenation. As HiPL concentrates heat only at specific problem areas, it protects the skin from additional damage to the surrounding tissues. This makes HiPL an effective method for those who are concerned about treatment downtime.

HiPL also offers a lower risk of complications compared to IPL or Nd:YAG laser. As pulse durations can be adjusted to suit patients’ skin type and comfort level, there is very minimal damage being done to the skin with HiPL.

Does HiPL have any downtime?

HiPL has a much shorter downtime compared to IPL and Nd:YAG laser. This means you will be able to resume normal activities right after the treatment. However, it is recommended that patients stay away from the sun and take care to apply a sunblock of at least SPF30 after undergoing HiPL treatment. Patients will also be reminded not to over-exfoliate their skin as it is still rejuvenating itself from within. The healing process can be accelerated by keeping your skin hydrated as often as you can.
